It is with great sadness that the family of Jamie Lynn Westlund announces her passing on March 7, 2025 in Flagstaff, Az. Jamie was born on August 28, 1986 to Patrick Westlund and Corine Standing.
Jamie spent a portion of her childhood in Flagstaff, Las Vegas and eventually moved to Silverton, CO in her teen years. Once in Silverton, she realized her love for the mountains and the outdoors and her dream was always to come back home. She was full of light and laughter and she will be remembered for her bubbly and funny nature.
Jamie loved her family and wrote letters on a regular basis to all of them. In those letters, Jamie always spoke of her love and fondness for life and family. She loved drawing and would often send her art with her letters. We will cherish those written words that she put her heart into.
Jamie had a beautiful spirit that was dampened by the crux of addiction. We as a family would like to express that addiction can find even the most innocent of people and that her untimely death will never be ignored because of what she had been through. We will grieve her passing and the times that we felt helpless to support her. We all firmly believe that Jamie is now in the presence of the Lord. She is now free and finally experiencing the peace and freedom that no substance on earth can offer.
Jamie is survived by her dad Patrick Westlund (Lisa Rivenburgh Westlund) of Montrose, CO; her mom Corine Standing (Timothy Hoffman) of Camp Verde, AZ; her grandparents Brent & Jackie Westlund of Silverton, CO; her grandparents Paul & Bev Standing of Flagstaff, AZ; her sisters India Blair & Maggie Westlund of Montrose, CO; her brother Caden Bartlett of Flagstaff, AZ and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
At this time, there are no services planned. The families will hold their private celebrations of life in the future.
