135 YEARS AGO From the Sept. 27, 1890 edition of the Silverton Standard: ELECTRIC LIGHTS COME TO SILVERTON. At about six o’clock last Saturday evening, the electric light was turned on for the first time in Silverton.

T’s Smokehouse has found a new home in Silverton

T’s Smokehouse is wrapping up their first summer in Silverton in the Pink Building on the corner of 12th & Greene next to Harmony Park after running their BBQ restaurant in Downtown Durango for 15 years.

San Juan Development started a $50,000 fundraising goal last month and not only have they raised the funds, but they raised $51,122! The new Town of Silverton Gateway Entry sign Phase 1 plan will now happen.
