It has been one year since a group of artists, including myself, began renting the Power House, often known as the old Scotty Bob’s building. Inside we create things. That’s a very broad statement, but our endeavors do reach in different directions.

20 years ago January 31, 2003 The American Tunnel at the Sunnyside Mine has finally been sealed up, several employees at Sunnyside were laid off and Steve Fearn’s Silver Wing/Gold King mining company has taken over operation of the Sunnyside’s water treatment plant.

Our Annual Ski Race Was A Success

The Silverton Ski Team and the Town of Silverton hosted another successful annual ski race at Kendall on Saturday, January 14th. Kendall was in fine shape, thanks to Justin Ebelheiser and the incredible cat for grooming.

Not Exactly a Typical Evening in Winter

Parts of this essay were originally published in The Standard the first year I worked for the Town of Silverton, Parks-n-Rec. department in 2019. This past Saturday night we had our first night skiing session of 2023. The event provided me with all sorts of fodder for this latest essay. Enjoy!!
