Silverton Snowscape Weekend Successful Despite Glitches

Silverton Snowscape created a fun and festive atmosphere over the weekend, although the Saturday Night Skiing and Free Ski Sunday were canceled due to the chair lift going offline. This year, the adult division of the cardboard derby was just as full of laughs as the kid’s division always brings.

Janice Sanders, a longtime local of Silverton, recently sold the Old Arcade Gift Shop on the corner of 12th and Blair Street to Paul and Becky Joyce, who are also longtime Silverton locals.

What a “WHITEOUT” Weekend It Was!

The 10th annual Silverton Whiteout Fat Bike 10hour Relay event created a fun and action-packed weekend up here in Silverton. The weather created a true “Whiteout” snowy Saturday for this annual Fat Bike event.

20 Years Ago February 6, 2004 It’s now official: the speed limit on every street in Silverton is 15 mph. This week, the town’s public works crew installed new speed limit signs on Greene Street, clearly defining the universal top legal speed in town.
