20 Years Ago October 22, 2004 A recent court decision dealt a blow to efforts to improve water quality and revive mining in the region. District Court Judge Gregory Lyman this month ordered Gold King Mines Corporation to vacate the Herbert Placer, owned by San Juan Corp.

After years of negotiations, San Juan County finally closed the deal for Sunnyside Gold Lands during the October 9, 2024 SJC BOCC meeting.

Mountain Medicine Symposium Was Very Successful

The 6th Annual International Mountain Medicine Symposium was held Friday through Sunday, October 4th-6th, by Silverton Medical Rescue and had the largest participation yet.
