Snowscape Created a Festive Weekend in Silverton

Silverton Snowscape held winter events throughout the weekend, like the annual Cardboard Box Derby Sled Race down Kendall Mountain Ski Hill last Saturday, night skiing, Yeti Snow Golf Tournament, snow horseshoe tournament, and ice shuffleboard on the skating rink.

That's something was an unanticipated warm-up on the last day of January to the hottest day of the year! 47.1 it was. Only to be followed by 46.

The sight of a fox in town is not unusual.
In fact, fox often live in or near urban areas. Red fox, the fox species found around Silverton, are not always red in color but they can easily be identified by their whitetipped tail.
