115 Years Ago From the September 30, 1905 edition of the Silverton Standard: WRECK ON THE RIO GRANDE SOUTHERN. On Tuesday afternoon of this week on the Rio Grande Southern railroad, near Glencoe, between Mancos and Dolores, there occurred the most serious wreck in the history of the line.

County Road 2 needs more dust control

Editor; Has any Town or County official been out on County Road 2 this summer? If not, you have been lucky. You don’t need to worry about COVID-19, there are much greater respiratory hazards there. Once upon a time, this road was treated each summer with Magnesium Chloride to mitigate the dust.
