EditorWe (Neen and Evin) have been scheming a Drag Trivia Night since we did the Burlesque show last summer.When we started to see violent ICE activity escalate especially in Minnesota, that was the catalyst for a Drag Trivia Fundraiser.

New Beginnings

When a Golden Eagle power dives right in front of your windshield, as you return to the San Juan Mountainsnearly brushing the glass as you hit the brakes- just as you begin your ascent into the high country- you experience the shock and awe of a really intense life changing wake up call.

The Sound Of Silence

Silverton is peaceful and quiet. So is the weather. The Sound of Silence is your correspondent's concentration. OK- none of you could possibly believe that!However- belief is usually nothing more than biasmore often than not. So get over it! Get what I am getting at?

 To the Silverton San Juan Fire Department:Please forgive me for taking so long to let you know how much I appreciated the celebration of life of my sweet loving husband, Ron, that was held on September 27th. While we knew his illness was getting worse, we didn't think he would leave us so quickly.

Rain For Christmas?

Winter Deepens

The third full week of November saw a continuation of what happened beginning on the 16th of the month. At that point, we transitioned from a most delightful warm fall to early winter. Since then, daytime temperatures have remained in the mid 40's to mid 30's.

Winter Returns To The San Juans

Amazingly, since the storm cycles of late September- when we were blessed with 3.4 inches of rain- daytime temperatures remained solidly in the sixties and fifties. Even through 6.31 inches of rain and .1 for snow in October, plus warm weather up through November 15th, when we were at 62.
