Wednesday: 12.7 degrees at 7:00 AM. Call with faint cirrus streaming into a previously clear sky. Warmed up as the cirrus abated. 52.5 degree high Thursday: 13.8 degrees still with some barely visible cirrus. Faint cirrus with a light breeze. Plenty of solar warmth. 54.1 degree high Friday: 17.

Not Quite Yet!

Wednesday: 25.3 degrees with less than a block visibility due to ice fog. Absolutely still. Later on, clear with sun up. Yet mostly stillwith only occasional- mostly disappearingtiny cumulus. Our warmest day this last weather week of October. 59.0 degree high. Thursday: 20.

Seasonal Transition with Surprise!

Wednesday: 23.9 degrees at 7:00 AM, clear and calm. Another stunningly beautiful fall day with only a few faint cirrus and a light-up canyon breeze. 66.5 degree high. Thursday: 24.2 degrees, clear and still. Followed by a moderate breeze and solar warmth. 70.1 degree high. Friday: 21.

Magnificent and Gradual!

Wednesday: 27.3 degrees at 7:00 AM. Still with thin high cirrus drifting through out of the north northwest. Intermittent mid-level clouds later on with an off-andon breeze. Solar warmth appreciated! 57.2 degree high Thursday: 24.6 degrees motionless and clear. New snow visible below timberline.

Glory Be!

Wednesday: 27.6 Still and clear. Only one tiny cumulusotherwise blueall day long! Aspen leaves- in their glory- quaking and shimmering, colors intensifying as the day progressed. Subtle collaboration and change up in the high tundra and down to along the Animas. Continuing transitions. 71.

Thank You Baker’s Park Volunteers Thanks to everyone that came out for Silverton Singletrack Society’s first ever Baker’s Park trail work session! We got some things done, met some new people, and had some fun. We’ll do it again soon. Stay tuned for details.

Wettest Week

During this weather week (1.32” plus a little from last week, .51”), we have had more measurable rain than at any time this summer. Monday late afternoon, we experienced the most intense thunderstorm activity so far this season, with lots of lightning, hail, and .70 measurable rainfall.

More Monsoons!

Wednesday: 50.0 degrees at 7:00 AM, 0.12 inches in the can. Still with wispy fog above valley floor. More subtropical moisture streaming in overhead. Wet light rain before dark period after a day of promising cloud build followed by repeated dissipation. 71.7 degree high Thursday: 49.

Monsoons Return!

Wednesday: 30.4.3 degrees at 7:00 AM. Completely clear and calm. Limited cumulus build later on. With a strong up canyon breeze. Maires Tales cirrus followed by a windy Bank of cirrus before dark. 75.5 degree high Thursday: 37.7 degrees motionless with mids building up in the southwest.
