20 Years Ago Fees for 911 service to hit $1.75/month Cellphone and land-line users in San Juan County will be paying an extra 75 cents a month to support enhanced 911 service, starting this summer.
The Colorado Public Utilities Commission in January approved the rate increase.
Currently phone users are paying $1 a month for the service, which provides more information to dispatchers.
