Silverton local 20-monthold purebred Labrador Retriever Lucille (Lulu) and her owner Michael Ackerman are currently working towards their validation as an avalanche rescue team with the Silverton Avalanche School.
Lulu could be the first dog to go through the Silverton Avalanche School (SAS) programs to become a SAS Avalanche Rescue Dog and a valuable San Juan County Search and Rescue team member.
