The fireworks show has beens shelved, at least for the time being, said Silverton San Juan Volunteer Fire Chief Gilbert Archuleta. The department said it hopes the monsoon season will begin soon and Archuleta has tentatively rescheduled the event for Hardrockers Holidays on August 10.
