It is a Silverton tradition that the mayor presses the start button on the lift for the opening ski day at Kendall Mountain Recreation Area. Mayor Shane Fuhrman joined the first chair kids and Parks and Recreation Director, Todd Bove on December 24th marking opening day this year.
