New town treasurer, selected by the town board after the paper was put to bed last Wednesday night, is Ameralis Lovato. Lovato was town treasurer from 1965 to 1985.
Sheriff’s blotter: Dec. 4 — responded to fire call at town hall. Heat tape in attic of building was smoking. Apparently when new roof was installed, the roof screws touched the heat tape, causing a short.
