More yawns than fanfare marked the end of an era Monday night, as Town Administrator Dave Erickson sat through his last regular meeting of the Silverton Town Board of Trustees. May 25 was Erickson’s last day on the job.

A sad accident happened in Durango about five o’clock last evening. Bob Hurley, while coupling a box car to a baggage car, was crushed between them and killed instantly.
