Silverton Medical Rescue Responds to Fatal OHV Rollover in Arrastra Gulch

On Monday August 3rd around 3pm, San Juan County Sheriff’s Office, Silverton Medical Rescue and Silverton Fire Department received an emergency SOS call about an OHV (side by side) rollover accident near San Juan County Road 22 (Lackawanna Rd) and SJC RD 2 with four reported patients involved.

It’s been an exciting yet worrisome summer for the San Juans and our neighboring counties. Drought, high temperatures, wildfires, floods, and mudslides are just a few examples of the extreme weather that has made headlines on the Western Slope in recent months.

A Theatre Group held its Boudoir show in the Grand Imperial Theatre this past weekend for two nights of sold-out shows. Last summer was the first annual show and this year sold out faster than last year due to the raving reviews in July 2025.
