The Gerardo Acosta Memorial Scholarship Fund for the Silverton School graduates was created by Austin and Casie Lashley after the loss of one of their dearest friends, who felt more like family, Gerardo Acosta Sr. on June 23rd, 2019.

Buildings in Gladstone include multi-story boarding houses and Mogul Mill buildings. The Silverton, Gladstone & Northerly railroad tracks can be seen near dirt roads and Cement Creek.

At about six o’clock last Saturday evening, the electric light was turned on for the first time in Silverton.

T’s Smokehouse is wrapping up their first summer in Silverton in the Pink Building on the corner of 12th & Greene next to Harmony Park after running their BBQ restaurant in Downtown Durango for 15 years.
