Fall season is in full swing here in Silverton, and the highways and town have been packed. Some say it feels busier than July these past weeks, and the train ridership numbers have been proving it. Silverton Chamber business members receive train counts every day.

Ben Roberts, one of the proprietors of San Juan Structures, which prebuilds custom log homes, has been coming to Silverton to ski in the winters since 2009. He moved to Silverton fulltime three summers ago and enjoys skiing, exploring, and hiking around the San Juans.
