This summer customers buying books at the Silverton Train Store have been rewarded with a gift bookmark complete with plastic sleeve and tassel to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the building at 1257 Greene Street, the oldest commercial building in town.

The Silverton Family Learning Center has been an independent, non-profit organization providing childcare to local Silverton families since 2001. SFLC started to raise the alarm this past spring, with grants, funding programs, and other financial lines starting to dry up.
