This summer customers buying books at the Silverton Train Store have been rewarded with a gift bookmark complete with plastic sleeve and tassel to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the building at 1257 Greene Street, the oldest commercial building in town.

Gary Davis, the San Juan County Veterans Service Officer, partnered up with Misti Anderson, the Silverton Librarian, and the San Juan County Historical Society Museum to host a free veteran’s night at the museum last Thursday evening after the museum closed to the public.
