25 years ago July 9, 1998 Last Wednesday, July 1, the last car on the fourth train derailed. The fourth train was backing from the wye toward 12th Street when the gondola derailed. The third train was in town and was blocked by the fourth train.

Wetlands Discussion at Trustee Meeting

Last Monday night’s Town of Silverton Trustee meeting turned into an evening-long discussion about how to protect and preserve the wetlands in the town limits.
