Film Festival Coming to Silverton

Silverton is on the map for many things, from mining to mountains, and most recently, it has become a hub of creative events. On Saturday, October 14, a film festival is coming to Silverton! SILVERFEST is a free event that takes place over the course of one day.

Wetlands Discussion Continued

At the last Town of Silverton Trustee meeting on Monday, September 11th, the trustees received four responses to the RFP that was put out for the wetland’s inventory project that the town was seeking.

In May 2023, the Town of Silverton was accepted into the Main Street Program through the Department of Local Affairs. San Juan Development Association is the host of this program.

130 YEARS AGO From the September 23, 1893 edition of the Silverton Standard: POSTOFFICE CLOSES AT IRONTON. The post office at Ironton has been discontinued entirely, and people there must now get their mail at Guston, two miles away.
