SJDA Affordable Housing Lottery Just Closed With Success

San Juan Development Association and the Silverton Housing Authority just closed their program’s first affordable housing lottery on December 21st. They secured three candidates for the next round of houses being built in the Anvil subdivision neighborhood at the entrance of town.

Wetlands Inventory Interactive Map Presented to Trustees

Ironwood Consulting presented the first draft of the interactive story map for the wetlands inventory project at this past Monday’s Town of Silverton Trustee’s meeting. They stated that the final edition of the map will go live in about two weeks for the general public to use.

History is repeating itself as we look back to the original opening of the Kendall Mt. Ski Area slated for Jan. 4, 1964.
It was not until Tuesday, Jan.
21, 1964 when 18” of snow fell that the ski area was able to have all 4 runs on Kendall open for skiing.
