to come here for a big time July 31 and August 1. The show will be officially named “Hardrockers Holiday.” Silverton will celebrate in the true western style. Not just a rodeo and carnival but a mining exhibition which will be the highlight of the program.

Louie Girodo, SJC Road Supervisor Retires After 47 Years

Louie Girodo, the San Juan County Road Supervisor, is retiring after serving San Juan County for forty-seven years. He was born and raised here in Silverton, and then he joined the San Juan County Roads and Bridge department when he was only 19 years old in September of 1976.
