Hardrockers Holidays is Turning 50

Hardrockers Holidays is turning 50 this year and will be held over the weekend of August 9, 10, and 11 at the Kendall Mountain Recreation Area.

County Road 2 Becomes a Dusty Raceway in Summer

San Juan County Road 2, which connects the Town of Silverton to Howardsville and Eureka east of town, is causing quite a stir amongst county residents, commissioners, and the San Juan County Sheriff’s Department.

Starting this past Monday, the monsoon tap turned back on. We received .92 in 7 days. Every afternoon cooled off most delightfully with rain chilled air. Water levels in the upper Animas changed constantly. Down below, the lower Animas is a rich, brown muddy river.
