The San Juan County Roads and Bridge crew undertook a road rebuild on Arrastra Gulch off SJC Road 52, also known as Little Giant Basin Road (SJC Road 21A). Little Giant Basin Road is a narrow, rocky former mule trail for the mines. It had become treacherous in an area where the shoulder was eroding and a large hole was forming at the tight edge created by water, weather, and time.
