An ordinance that would require wearing masks in town as a precaution against the COVID-19 pandemic was tabled by the Silverton Town Board on Monday after public testimony and objections by some Town Board members.

One problem was that the Town advertised the wrong time for the meeting — 6 p.m. instead of 7. So town officials wanted to make sure there was no open meetings violation.
