Man killed in crash
A former Silverton resident died Wednesday, Aug. 1, in a one-vehicle crash on Molas Pass. Sean Christopher Kirk, 46, of Durango, apparently lost control of his 2001 Chevrolet pickup around 3:20 p.m. while headed southbound.
The truck ended up some 39 feet off of U.S. 550.
