Anyone reading the Durango Herald last weekend must think Silverton is exploding with growth. An article in the July 30 edition entitled “Silverton turns the corner” predicted, “The next decade could see the town’s yearround population of approximately 600 double or triple, while building booms and the winter economy grows.”
