Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, last year was the first year in approximately 48 years that the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic did not take place. The event starts in Durango as bicyclists “race” the train to finish in Silverton. The train takes about 3 ½ hours to travel from Durango to Silverton. Usually around 2,500 bicyclists take on the 50-mile road race over Coal Bank and Molas Pass.
