This was the first year for the Silverton St. Patrick’s Day Shenanigans event, with the end goal of turning Silverton into a holiday destination. Silverton local Dr. Yvonne Naughton, who is from Ireland, came up with the idea to make Silverton a St. Patrick’s Day destination. However, this year, the event was focused on locals kicking off the Tuesday holiday.
