On November 8th, there was an announcement put out by the National Wildlife Federation that they are partnering with Montrose- based sheep herder family the Etcharts to retire their ten grazing allotments in the San Juan Mountains and the headline read “National Wildlife Federation Partners, Etchart Family Protect Bighorn Sheep By Retiring 101,676 Acres of Domestic Sheep Grazing.”...
