MAY COOL HEADS PREVAIL!

Wednesday 33.4 at 7 am. High grey overcast. Air still. Overcast, then it warmed up to 61.8 before noon. Then clouds built back up and the up-canyon wind returned quite chilly. So much for Freddie’s “late spring” announcement last week- it still is quite unsettled!

Dear Editor

Starting and growing a business in an isolated community is never an easy undertaking. Silverton has proved to be no exception.

Dear Editor,

On May 23 Cokie (Berenyi) Cox summited Mount Everest. As an avid mountaineer, she has also summited Denali, Kilimanjaro and Aconcagua, among others. In so doing, she has raised funds for the Medical University of South Carolina, Hollings Cancer Center, in Charleston, South Carolina.

Dear Editor, This is a call to all of you who remember and were friends with Charlie Moore. Charlie was a carpenter, builder and a deputy with our sheriff’s department. He left us several years ago, but left some fine memories.

Hello, I live in Montrose (81 years old) and just wanted to share this memory. In the mid 1940’s my mother would drive my sister and I to Silverton to visit grandparents who owned Snoke Bakery located in the far SW corner of the Grand Imperial.

Dear Editor

Dear Editor, At the risk of being obsessively repetitive, I am urging those concerned with conflict-of-interest concerns at Town Hall to continue to push for public accountability when ethic complaints arise.
