20 Years Ago November 18, 2005 Hoping to ease the winter parking situation on Greene Street, the town is in the process of implementing a “snow route” system for the main drag. Initially, the system will include the section of Greene Street between 7th and 15th streets.

DURANGO: • A 31-year-old man from New Mexico was shot and killed by a La Plata County Deputy Sheriff during a traffic stop around 3:30 pm on November 4th, 2025, north of Durango, 2 miles on Highway 550, headed towards Trimble Lane in North La Plata County.
