Kendall Mountain Ski Area opened for the Season last Friday

Last Friday February 20th, Kendall Mountain Ski Area’s chair lift ran for the first time this winter. With last week’s snowstorm, Kendall was able to get up and running for the first time this winter season and the chair lift was loaded with local kids, adults and out-of-town visitors.

The Idaho slide came down on Monday night and ran across the park to a level with Blair street. It took out one telegraph pole and covered up the Y with about ten feet of snow, This is the furthest it has run since 1879.

This past Silverton Skijoring weekend was exactly what the crew who came together to make snow for the event had hoped for, a packed town of spectators.The crowds were big and deep along Notorious Blair Street, and the cheers were loud.
