The Town is pleased to welcome Debby Harrison Zarkis as the new Housing Director effective August 17, 2026. Debby will serve as the Executive Director of the Silverton Housing Authority (SHA), a municipal housing authority of the Town of Silverton.

San Juan Basin Area Agency on Aging to Disband in Face of ‘Insurmountable’ Corrective Action Plan

After months of administrative problems and repeated failures to comply with a state corrective action plan, the board of the San Juan Basin Area Agency on Aging voted earlier this month to voluntarily relinquish its designation, becoming the first agency in Colorado to do so.
