February 19, 1887 Silverton DemocratA snowslide came down Sultan Mountain Thursday morning and swept across the railroad track. The slide was about 200 yards wide and brought down trees and rocks, sweeping everything before it. It carried away part of the cabin occupied by Hugh and John E.

Silverton School students each get a school T-shirt

Each student got a school shirt from the recent fundraiser at their holiday luncheon where generous locals and local businesses donated to the cause. The Silverton School recently revamped its school merchandise line offering T-Shirts, hats and sweatshirts.
