Every year, come autumn, I reluctantly purchase a small game hunting license. I wouldn’t describe myself as hunter, but I do love good food and the best way to get it is to get it yourself. After a summer full of huckleberries, plums and chante- relles I gured I should take my shotgun for a walk.

Town of Silverton Receives OHV Petition

On October 18th, the Town of Silverton received a petition to establish a route for OHVs to operate within town limits. The Town Clerk found the petition to be suf cient, obtaining signatures from at least 5% of the registered electors in Town.

20 years ago October 25, 2002 Silverton School will be hosting a Community Halloween Party on Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the school gym. All kids and adults are welcome from 7 to 8:30 p.m. From 8:30 to 10 a.m., children, the party is open to sixth graders through adults.
