The Marine Corps Birthday is celebrating their 247th birthday on November 10, 2022. We contact our three favorite Marines to wish them a Happy Birthday every November. Our favorite Marines are Marshal Skinner, Sheriff Greg Leithauser and the previous County Administrator Bill Norman.

Equine Skijoring will Return to Silverton

February 18-19, 2023. For the fourteenth year (including during Covid, when Silverton Skijoring filmed a documentary), cowboys, horses and skiers will team up to navigate a blockand- a-half of Blair Street at speeds up to 40 mph.

How the American Legion Serves You

The American Legion Post #14 located in Silverton Colorado has been a pillar of the community for over half a century. There is an American Legion post in nearly every town across the United States.

San Juan County Nonprofits Awarded $17,500 in Grant Funding

November 10, 2022, Silverton, CO – Five San Juan County nonprofits received a total of $17,500 in grants from the San Juan County Community Fund (SJCCF) at an award presentation hosted by Citizens State Bank, on Monday, November 14th.
