Powerhouse Chili Cook Off

The Silverton Powerhouse Collective hosted a Solstice bonfire and chili cookoff to celebrate the passing of the year’s darkest night. Silverton locals brought out their best chili recipes and enjoyed tasting each other’s creations.

The pass between Ophir and Silverton (one of the highest in the country) is already closed by snow, and mail for the Ophir country goes by way of Montrose.
