25 years ago March 1, 2001By Mark Chacon In the first few minutes of the game the score was zero zero.We scored the first two points of the game and then that’s when the game started. It was point after point for each team but in the second quarter, before half time, we were ahead by 10 points.

From the March 3, 1900 edition of the Silverton Standard: SEARCH CALLED OFF FOR SLIDE VICTIM.Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday thirty to forty men dug holes in the big snowslide near the Sampson mill in quest of the body of Louis Avi. The search was in vain and Wednesday evening work was suspended.

San Juan County Commissioners Appoint Undersheriff Steve Lowrance to Interim Sheriff

This past Monday, March 2nd at 4:45 pm, the San Juan County Commissioners came out of an executive session after interviewing a fourth and final candidate to fill in for the remainder of the current elected San Juan County Sheriff Bruce Conrad’s term, which goes through December 2026.
