Way Back!

The Hotel Galena in Howardsville is pictured, probably in the 1880s. The hotel was operated by Ellen Mock Shaw. A general merchandise store is seen to the left of the hotel. To the right and behind the hotel is a log cabin that was still standing at the site in 1982.
