One of the oldest tourist businesses in Silverton, The Old Hundred Gold Mine Tour, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this July. The company was formed in 1991 by Bill Jones, Jim Melcher, Nolan Maclain, and Bob Travis. Bill guided the first tour in July 1992 and is the current owner operator. He can be found behind the counter in the gift shop most days, selling tickets and answering the phone.
